Many Irish and Welsh Celtic saints came to Cornwall to share the gospel of Jesus. Some stayed and many were drawn to the area around Fowey establishing prayerful communities along the river bank. Beautiful yet remote it appealed to their desire to live 'on the edge of the world'.
