Llantwit Major, Wales

In Celtic times St Illtud established a monastic community in Llantwit Major where monks were trained and sent out to evangelise right across Wales, Cornwall and on into France. Dubricius and Samson are both connected with this community and the original site is still there, with its beautiful church and ancient Celtic crosses.
