Fidden Cove is situated on the western tip of Mull looking out towards Iona. It's a beautiful place and a very 'thin' spot. I can imagine centuries ago Celtic monks waiting here and praying before going over to Iona. The spiritual atmosphere is so rarefied, I spend hours there praying and losing track of time.
The tide comes in and transforms the cove, whilst seals bask on rocks and hares dart across the grass. It epitomises the 'edge of the world' which the Celtic saints sought out. The sea crashes in and then retreats, the skyscape is huge and peace permeates everywhere.
